Two leading personalities from different fields are together for a great cause, well the former US President Mr. Bill Clinton and actor Brad Pitt joined hands to help the reconstruction of New Orleans that was shattered by Hurricane Katrina.
Bill Clinton and 600 students from all around the globe joined hands with Brad, to set the foundation of actor’s ‘Make it Right’ project that is constructing 150 green economical abodes for New Orleans inhabitants. All together helped the cleaning process of one of the badly affected area, they uprooted dense grasses and wild plants from street drainpipes and footpaths of the region.
Pitt said:
We hope to see a huge change here in the next six months. We are excited about today, but need to remember that our project is one small part of addressing a much larger need. Thousands of people still need help in order to return home.
Pitt has donated nearly $5 million dollars to this project together with Steven Bing. Clinton added about $1 million to the projects funds, he was there to stand in for Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund but President H.W. Bush George Bush was unable to make his presence at this occasion.
One thing that I forget to tell is Brad Pitt was looking cool in newsboy cap and the outfit he was wearing for the ceremony. It was heard that Pitt promised not to put on that particular hat, as he was supposed to put that hat for sale to aid the charity. However at present you will find only one baseball cap on the MakeItRightNola website.
Well he must be in great love with cap so he is still using it, after all love is love one cannot be criticized on that ground. We just hope that he would sooner or later put this cap on sale, keep your fingers crossed might you get it and in someway or the other get a chance to help the charity.
