The Oscar-winning beauty was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital after she complained of severe stomach pain. Charlize thought it was a simple case of food poisoning, but a series of tests by the doctors confirmed that she was infected with a serious virus.

The Monster star is alleged to have suffered severe abdominal pains, which she attributed to food poisoning. But when the sharp stomach pangs failed to go away, her boyfriend Stuart Townsend took her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to seek treatment.
