After the initial euphoria of having a baby wore off, Jamie Lynn seems to have realized that getting knocked up at 16 may not be such a good career move after all. The teen star has apparently agreed to hand over her child over to her mom, Lynne, shortly after birth to concentrate on her dwindling career.
A source close to the family has revealed that though Jamie Lynn had been reluctant initially but she soon came around to the idea of having her mom raise the baby so she can concentrate on rebuilding her career. Apparently Lynne still wants her 16-year old “to be able to be a teenager, go to parties, hang out with friends and have a career.” (And be knocked up again at 17?)
The source said:
Lynne is convinced that having a baby on her hip will not help Jamie Lynn’s future in the business and she’s expecting her daughter to pick up where she left off as soon as the baby is born.
The source also added that Lynne was thrilled with the idea of raising another baby.
Was she, now? With two self-destructive daughters already proving the child-rearing credentials of Mama Spears, I’m only afraid what kind of a drama queen (or king) will this baby grow up to be. And with the kinda cash Lynne has already made from her daughter’s poor run of luck, I won’t be surprised if she has the kid up for sale on eBay soon after birth either!
