Despite Snoop Dog being cleared of assaulting a fan at a 2005 concert, the man who sued rapper Snoop will still receive compensation for the injuries he suffered from the incident.
Richard Monroe Jr. was badly injured after he hopped up on the stage during a concert at the White River Amphitheater in Seattle, Washington in 2005, but the jury came to a decision that it was not Snoop Dogg who threw the microphone and hurt the man. Instead, it was found that the injuries were caused by Soopafly and the security present there. However, Snoop has been cleared of all the charges, but his company Doggystyle Records has been ordered to pay $449,000 for the damages caused. Poor rapper! What’s his fault, people should realize and sit on their seats and enjoy the concert rather than acting overexcited.
Calvin Broadus, known as Snoop Dogg, was not present for the verdict on Friday, but he attended part of the trial.
